The Cat 5 is our strongest, most heavy-duty dock design. Its features include 8-inch minimum-tip poles installed 8-to-10 feet into the sea bed. The framework is constructed of rough-cut 2x8 .80cca timber. All hardware is high-grade 316 stainless steel. The Cat 5 also includes Thru-Flow™ decking, as well as the option for X-bracing to provide extra rigidity and lateral strength. It is suitable for both residential and commercial use. While there can be no guarantee when it comes to hurricanes, we build the Cat 5 with the intention that it will still be standing and functional after a hurricane.
